Hi, I noticed I’d lost one of my pad retaining springs from front passenger side. Order a Borg and Beck kit (bbk1352). Been trying for a few hours to get it on! Really frustrating. I get it on and give it a tap and one of the lugs comes off the calliper. I’ve looked at images of genuine spring clips and aftermarket ones and I can’t see any difference with the one I’m trying to put on and those. Found a YouTube video of Rimmers doing one and they just push it on! Is there a technique I’m missing?

Update.

Bought a genuine clip and fitted no bother.

After market ones where slightly off on where the two pieces were riveted only a mm or two, but enough.
