Have you tried tempcover.com? My son used them late last year for a Land Rover. |

In my experience it really depends on the value and insurance group. Many temporary cover policies don’t support more powerful or valuable vehicles. I couldn’t get any to do that for our BMW M2 Competition, heck not even BMW was offering their drive away insurance for it. |

I've used Dayinsure before when driving a mate's car, found it quick and easy, cost me around £25 for the day.

Tried most of them. Got fed up typing in all my details to have them decline, hence asking. |

I always thought you could add one to your existing policy, but could obviously be wrong. You must have tried that first.... and ended up having to look elsewhere.... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Or you could be added as a named driver on their insurance if push comes to shove.....

My daughter uses a "by the hour" service on line when she has found the need to share the driving on a mates car, or borrowing one of ours! |

I'd be interested what company she uses, driving a Vogue? I can't find one. Must have tried at least a dozen now. |

I can drive any car third party, with the owners permission. Thought that was standard with most policies.

As I said before; the issue is the value of the cars and the insurance groups. Short term insurance doesn’t do that generally. It is just too risky. |
