Afternoon all, ive a quick query if any of you will indulge me. Just collected my car after having the roof spoiler replaced to fix a faulty dab aerial. On checking the paint its flat gloss black where the rest of my roof is a metallic sparkle black. On a 2015 car is this how everyone elses is? I was sure I checked prior to it going in and it was a sparkle but it's been a hard year and my memory is failing...

Should be exactly the same as the body colour mate.

Why did they have to change the actual spoiler? I believe the electronics just fasten to it or are underneath it.

Might be wrong, but I’d be wanting my old spoiler back sharpish..... as to get the correct black.

Thanks, Apparently the antenna is built into it, it was a warranty job so I didn't care what they changed as long as it works. But the service guy said it needed painting when they found the issue and the Russian lrcat tool has it listed as 'primed', but when I got it home and queried was told 'they come out a box painted'.

Ah right.

Someone with an L405 who has had a similar issue might be better to comment then.

Shame you can’t get at all the gubbins and just replace what’s needed, but I suppose it’s progress.....

Thanks both for your comments, my car is a lighter colour but the roof is a sparkle black. I just walked past a neighbours car of the same age which is red with a silver roof and his spoiler is silver from which I assume mine should match the rest of the roof as his does. Bloody annoying having to argue with them and sod about taking the car back in.
