hello to all this is a first post and a difficult one...i have a 2003 td6 the problem i have is when i accelerate i get like a rough exhaust niose from the front which sounds like the exhaust is split but its not it dont do it all the time but it makes the car to niosey inside drives me mad.. i have been reading on here.. could it be the waste gate valve on the turbo?..thanks for reading and i would very much appreciate any help thank you

Had something similar in mine before turned out to be some cheap gasket might have been intlet manifold gasket will check recipts when back at home.

If it has only started recently it could be the viscous fan spinning?

It is more noticeable in warm weather

has you mpg gone down recentely?..it could be a hole in the turbo cooler which is under the radiator .. ... - .- -.

hi and thx for the replys its been doing it for a while now but it sounds exhaust. as i hear it from the drivers side it sounds like at me feet sometimes i can throttle and nothing other times like being in a tin can.

if the exhaust 'cat' is under where you say then it could be broken inside causing the noise ... ... - .- -.

Im interested as i have a similar noise thats only there from cold for about 10mins then gone its like an exsaust blow

hi all an update on my problems i change the front precat and the main cat and the noise has all gone so must of been something to do with them thanks for all the replys and i hope this is useful to other members ..
