Only stuff you'll get in that budget is the Med. Anything more exotic ups the price as I found out a few weeks back.

Still, there's plenty of decent places in the Med. Depends on how much beach you want though. My favourite would be Northern Italy in the lakes region. By the water but lakes, not sea.

You could do worse than Dubai. Been several times, and despite it being very, very hot in June, you can get some pretty good bargains if you look around.
Beach hotels are limited to the Jumeirah area and on the Palm, but most offer good deals if you shop around.

I can also highly recommend The One & Only Royal Mirage in Dubai.... Fantastic....

I also stayed in Sensatori Tenerife last September, it too was very good and worked out around £1800 per person, with drinks on top of this.... No beach though....

Sharm el Sheikh as well as Turkey are reasonable for 5 Star all-inclusives but after my last bout of food-poisoning and current unrest in Middle East, think my visits there are over....

I stayed in the Riu Cancun 5 years ago and it was also very good, all drinks included bottles of Corona/Coca Cola in room fridge, as well as full bottles of Rum, Whisky, Vodka... Great beach and 2 minutes walk into Cancun night-life, oh to be young again....

My wife is trying to talk me into going back to the Bellagio in Las Vegas and doing another Road-trip down the California coast this year, but I too wouldn't mind a cheapish holiday....

Fat Chance I think as I've spoiled her with 5 star holidays since we met....
