L405 with Pivi Pro - reboot?

Hi folks

Mate of mine has a 2021 RR with the new Pivi Pro Infotainment. That's completey locked up. Car works OK otherwise.

Any known way of rebooting or force restart of the Infotainment system? Graham

I thought it still had Touch Pro Duo and everyone was moaning about it not being updated?

From a review of the D350.

Quote:
Inside, the Range Rover’s cabin remains a fine example of British design and luxury, with top-notch materials and a smart layout. It is hampered, though, by the older of Jaguar Land Rover’s infotainment systems, Touch Pro Duo - a clunky experience that’s outgunned by not only many of the car’s luxury rivals but also some of its more affordable stablemates, such as the Discovery Sport and Evoque.

The fact that the latest Pivi Pro set-up hasn’t been rolled into this update would suggest that its inclusion requires a more fundamental upgrade - so we’d suggest it’s one for the next generation of Range Rover. It can’t come quickly enough.

ICTP reset is performed by physically pressing the volume button for 60 seconds with ignition on. Also, a reset is performed anyway after each car shutdown, when it enters sleep mode...

OK thank you, I'll pass that on! He's got the P400e. Graham

You're welcome! BTW, this works for the I-Pace too. If you have Pivi Pro, the reset is performed by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.

looks like there’ll be no Pivi Pro until the chassis refresh. Sad

PP isn’t just a new head unit, it’s the back end EVA 2.0 architecture too. Still I think there was no excuse for them not to put it in the FFRR nor RRS for 2022.

But hey JLR makes loads of bad decisions, like no diesel for any LR product for 2022 here in the USA. Rolling Eyes
