Unfortunately, they're right. That's too close to the edge of the tyre to be repaired. Some places will do it but personally I'd not let them if that was my tyre.

A repair like that (plug) in the UK is illegal as far as I'm aware and I'm sure I've read somewhere it will fail an MOT if spotted during the test.

Is it legal to fit an inner tube in tubeless tyres these days??

An inner tube wont last long in a tubeless tyre - the inside is too rough and will rub a hole in it in fairly short order. Bish.

You might find someone who will do a galvanised repair on it. But I would just get a new tyre or a second hand one. |

I'm not sure why you think it's illegal to plug a tyre in this way iv been doing it for years on motor bikes and cars, if got a better version I carry around now days but keep this type as a back up |
