Alistair... Ermmmm skiing šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚

Looks like too much manual labour work too me that mate. Hopefully be worth while for you. My front garden resembles just gravel.

I've just finished putting all the decor in tank and been cleaning the glass and lid up. Gotta love all the limescale. Just need too get some new led lights for the tank which will come in at just under Ā£500

And thats the tank all setup. Only cost me Ā£600 to get replacement lights, filters, pumps, heaters, gravel, water treatment etc.

All running nicely, so will leave it for a week teen add the fish one species at a time

What's everyone else been upto today

Sounds like that's kept you busy then John. What area do you live in for them to munch the grass like you got a herd of cows living on your land.

Decided today I'll start too make use of all the paint tins so started redecorating the house with some small touch ups like repainting the wooden frames and doors in white so since the ex has gone I'm doing everything I wanna do without having to justify myself too it

Iā€™ll be fine but thank you for the kind words. Iā€™m just following the rules after my app went off with an alert and told me to self isolate.

My wife is just doing her test as she has to go into school tomorrow.

We just play by the rules. If only everyone did we wouldnā€™t be in this prolonged mess. Even if the change is slim, Iā€™m always masked up and use high alcohol gels to clean my hand, I do not want to pass it on to others.

Honestly mate you should come and see what it's like in East London working as a paramedic. Everyone just does there own thing n don't give a stuff. Been too so many people that refuse too self isolate or call you for the most stupid reason. Best one Ive had was a guy who slept with a hooker and he was worried he might get covid from sexual intercourse.... Ermmmm I'd worry about a lot more then just covid but like you say if everyone done as they was told, we wouldn't be in lockdown number 3

Unfortunately I believe you. I worked with all thirteen ambulance trust under ā€œnormalā€ circumstances; ie no pandemic. And the crap the crews have to deal with is just unbelievable. And that is not even accounting for the attacks whilst trying to help people. The is a large minority of scumbags out there.

Keep up the good work buddy! Respect.

^that is so true. So many people just basically ignoring the rules.

In the first lockdown, roads were very quiet, but now you would struggle to know there were any restrictions at all.

Fortunately for me i build houses so Iā€™ve not really stopped since last March. Little bit here and there at the start when the merchants were getting their act in order, but since mid summer we have been at it full speed.

Social distancing on site is difficult due to some jobs requiring close proximity but we do our best and have masks, lots of satanizer and have a rule sheet that everyone is following.

I feel bad for those who havenā€™t been able to leave their houses for almost a year. Especially those in small flats. It must be hellish.

Today I have fitted some windows, a front door, some stud work and a bit of roof. And tried to keep out of the snow. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammeršŸ˜œšŸ˜œ

There's a lot of staff that are just mentally exhausted having to repeat yourself over n over again but then your going to incidents you really shouldn't have too expect too see in your career.

Sadly the usual drivel will always be there but I'll take that over any idiot who calls up about covid and stating they don't want to self isolate. The assaults I'm used too as I get assaulted quite often but being 6ft 7 tall when my crew mate is a small petite lass of 4ft 11 I expect it too happen especially on the weekend nights when you'd get all the drunks out but it's happening all the time now. I don't bother reporting all the incidents as I'd spend more time out of service so I just get on with it so to speak.

Cheer mate its appreciated. I'm off work atm as I was in hospital and signed of for 3 months so you can imagine how bored I am

Damn that makes me sad, and angry. I know what you mean, but still nobody should have to go to work and be used to get attacked. Especially not those that are saving peopleā€™s lives.

Iā€™ve been in law enforcement and intelligence for 17 years, and do appreciate what you and other blue light services have to endure.

Still find it shocking though, same as now where there are still so many deniers. I just canā€™t get my head around their attitude.

It's sad but it's part of reality I guess as everyone likes to have a go against the big guy. The usually regret that attitude. Management was worried about the assaults on me so they come out with me for a few weekend shifts. In one night I had 3 incidents where they start squaring up too me. The ctm(clinical team leaders) even admitted she felt slightly intimidated with this guy shouting abuse at her but was grateful she was working with me as she knew she would be safe but they understand it all now.

I've had the idiots give me that drivel that it's the government doing it, 5g is the cause of it, its the start of world war 3, its a racist thing against all BAME. Soon as they start with that attitude, I tell them they either shut up and keep their opinions to themself or seen as they can walk, get off n make your own way to hospital. Told a few of them if you believe that, come out with us and see what happens. They often decline that offer
