Hello, sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I can only find posts where people can't turn off their airbag warning light - I have the opposite problem in that it doesn't come on at all!
My L322 2002 TD6 airbag warning light seems dead. Is it likely this is the bulb in the instrument cluster after failing?
I don't have any diagnostic equipment other than a multimeter, and I'm wondering can I check that bulb externally without removing the cluster?
I see it's a brown and purple wire from the DCU, but does that go directly to the bulb? In other words, can I put 12v accross that wire to test if the bulb lights, or will I fry electronics in the instrument cluster?
Any advice is very welcome. It's the only problem with this wonderful car in ten years, which says a lot!
