I will show you how to check oil level on a 2011 L322, but please ignore this reply if someone suggests it is different on later model L405’s.

If it is the same as the MY2014 one you need to enter the car and press the start button without your foot on the brake, then press the menu/ok button on the left of the steering wheel, this will bring up the menu in the centre screen between the rev counter and speedo. Use the arrows to scroll down to the service menu and you should be able to check the oil level from there.

It’s extremely simple - and very well explained in the manual - you obviously missed it 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

I thought that's the case but I looked in the manual and couldn't find it in the menu selection at the back.

When attempting to check the oil level in my L322 on the designated service menu page I get 'not available' even when allowing time for it to settle. Any ideas? |

Thanks very much Mike. Do I have to keep the menu display open at the time or start again after following your procedure? |

I'm trying to check the oil level on my MY2015 SDV8 but keep getting the 'not available' message. I believe that I have followed all the instructions in the manual, which are pretty much as in this thread. I've tried it with bonnet both closed and open.

I’ve given up trying to work out how to do this, despite following the instructions here and in the online manual (my car came without a manual”because it’s on line now sir”) What’s wrong with a dipstick FFS! |
