Is clock set via navigation system?

Hi everyone,

Sorry about this likely stupid question but here it goes.

Does the navigation system set the car clock? I don't have the navigation DVD for my '09 L322 so I had to set the clock myself. The salesman is working on finding a navigation DVD for me (they're not available from the usual channels any longer).

I don't see anything in the manuals about this. On my '06 Honda Pilot, '06 Honda Civic, '09 Honda CR-V and 2020 Mazda CX-5 the time is set automatically through the GPS system since it receives accurate time. Seems like a no-brainer that the clocks should be set automatically.

But the owner's manual does not mention anything about this.

Thanks in advance!

UGH! Our old '07 Infiniti was like that. You'd think that with a high-end vehicle like this they would have the navigation set the clock since that's the most accurate time source.

And yes, I am a bit pedantic about time. Especially since my old days at HP when I worked with the guy who supported the NTP protocols for HP-UX. Very Happy

Isn't it funny that sometimes the most minor of annoyances can cause such a reaction? And a bit of OCD doesn't help either. Wink

Thanks!
