If you want to take the 'van then I would stick to Scotland, personally I love Fort William. It's a little "touristy" as you're at the foot of Ben Nevis, but you can get up to all sorts there.

The way the climate has been of late, there's been a lot of snow in Scotland, but the investment in infrastructure in Scotland compared to Switzerland to support wintersports isn't comparable!

SWITZERLAND - we go in our 28ft Motorhome to Davos, Saas Fee, Zermatt and many other Euro resorts no problemo..... |

Ok.. I guess it'll be a trip on the Ferry if we do Switzerland.. and much as I'd like to take the caravan.. thinking logically it'll probably be a none starter as this will be a short break.. probably a week at most including travel.

Good point. I guess I defaulted to Switzerland as we went there a couple of summers back and took the train to the top of the Jungfrau. It was quite an experience for us and the kids to be stood on a Glacier when only hours earlier we had been down the mountain with no snow.
