Got my certificate for my new number plate yesterday, but still no V5. However, on the papers, it says you can take the papers to the DVLA office without a V5, as long as you have the new keepers supplement.

So - we proceeded to make the journey to Worcester. In fairness, Birmingham was slightly closer, but I preferred a ride out in the country!

Got to DVLA Worcester and took my ticket and waited. After about 20 mins, my number came up and I went up to the desk. Handed over said papers and the guy told me he couldn't do it w/o the log book
I explained that it said on the certificate that no log book was required and he read it for himself. He was nodding his head in agreement but maintained he couldn't do the transfer unless I had the Log Book. I told him that I hadn't yet received the Log Book and he checked his system. He told me that the V5 had been sent out on the 17th and to wait for it to arrive.
I was that annoyed, I got up and walked out
Best bit was- when I got home, the bloody V5 was on the mat!
I'd called in to my local dealer to get my new plates made up as well- I was raring to go! Got to wait till Monday now.  2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
