Center console (cubby) lid

Hello! When the lid of the cubby is open I only have to touch it slightly for it to drops down hard. I think it should be pushed down or go down gently as opposed to dropping..?

I understand that in previous models there were gas struts in there but dont seem to find anything about that for the 2016/l405 model?

Any ideas?

thanks

Or if someone can tell me they need to ‘push’ the lid down then I know something’s wrong with mine Wink

Guess we’ll have to get in there and look for something like a spring or the absence thereof;)
