Had already tried buying a secondhand one from eBay, a common problem with the clarion unit is a drive cog that cracks and the one from eBay suffered from this problem also. The advantage with repair service is the unit was fully refurbished, my unit had new mechanism and lens fitted and also given 6 months Warrenty. So overall cheaper than secondhand unit and guaranteed usable. |

Just as a note, I did by a cheap MOST loop off eBay (6.95) to enable use of rest of the audio system, doesn’t fit, so had to cut off shell from plug, plugged in the remaining loop and worked perfectly whilst changer was off for repair. |
