As title says, it popped up this morning. Any suggestions? Alternator?

Check battery first, then check if alternator is working... Pete

It's a new battery. Voltage was 11.7 with car off, running slightly more, so I guess it's alternator.

I've been having all sorts of problems lately. I believe the alternator has finally packed up. I'm going to take it off and have it tasted. One thing I did notice is, the wires/plug for the alternator, one has around 11.6v the other about 10.4v (on a depleted battery) is that normal? For them both to have power with the plug off ignition on?
