Do anyone have an idea how long it should take a independent LR garage to change the main thermostat on a 2006 TD6?
I only ask as I was thinking of doing the Renault 5 thermostat mod which looks fairly easy!
But I already have a genuine Land Rover thermostat that I could have fitted by my local Indy but with labour rates at £55 p/h it could get expensive I’ve seen 4-6 hours quoted for home mechanic is that the same for the professionals?

If it's of any help I did my own in 3 hours but I wasn't hanging about. That includes removing the viscous fan which fortunately came off first go. I would expect a garage to do it in about the same time or less.

Thanks for that! I thought it might be as low as 2 hours? But I suppose there’s a lot to move to access it
