When did the AJV8 unit get fitted to the FFRR?

Looking through eBay and Autotrader there seem to be some 05MY with it and some of them still have the BMW M62 lump.

The number of cars for sale without an engine bay picture makes it hard to tell whats in what. Some quote power outputs of 305bhp which is the AJV8 however some people are quoting anything from 275 to 295 for the BMW lump.

What the Jag engine only fitted to cars with the 2006 facelift when they put smaller lights on without the wipers?

2006 MY onwards

If it has an AJV8 engine it will have the six speed ZF gear box , the BMW never had this so I guess you could count the gears  2008 MY Supercharged

I've seen some 55 plates with the AJV8 engine, what's the earliest model that you're likely to see? Did it only come in when they face lifted them?

This one (not interested as it's high mileage and scruffy) is an 05 plate car, registered on 02/05/05 however when checking the number plate it says that it has 301bhp which is significantly more then the BMW engine.

Was the 06 MY available as far back as this?

One last question...

Was the BMW engine completely finished by the facelift or were there still a few of them kicking around?

My second ajv8 was a 05 2005

All factory Facelift Petrols are AJV8

If they've got the later display underneath the dials on the dashboard then it's a AJV8 as well I believe from what I've read on the internet.
