Halfords 30% off

Currently 30% off some tools at Halfords.
I'm quite fancying the 100 piece socket set. Reduced from £125 to £87. Seems a steal at that price.
Got a good range of 1/4 and 1/2 loose but would be nice to have all together in case and also having 3/8 would be nice quite often 1/2" can be a bit cumbersome and 1/4" a bit too fiddly.
Comes with lifetime warranty. Has anyone got these? I wonder who makes them for Halfords as they look very good quality?

I have one of the larger ones. Not used it that much but it’s good quality, at least for home use.

+1 on the good quality. I've got 1 of the 120 piece sets & used it fairly heavily without any problems / breakages.
The biggest ommission on lots of the sets is an 18mm socket - not sure about that 100 part set,

Halfords also have 50% off sales a few times a year, if you're willing to risk waiting until 1 happens. Paul,

Halfords professional range is guaranteed fir life they reportedly exchange broken tools with no quibble. I’ve got a large set that retails at £150 but is often reduced to £100 or less (as it was when I purchased it) very good quality and tidate never had any issues. I’ve also got their spanner sets with the ratchet ......fine until you loosen a nut to find you can’t get it out and then can’t tighten it to release the spanner but that’s another story! 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

My son has had Halfords socket sets for years and abuses them. Several breakages (usually scaffold pole on a ratchet or breaker bar LOL) and they've always been replaced without question. He has split sockets too which again replaced without question. BMW i3 Electric Car

Picked it up and also bought a cantilever toolbox reduced from £30 to £21 to reorganise everything else, spanners etc. Shouldn't go into Halfords on payday!! Laughing

Another user or the Halfords sockets here. They are great and I've been using them for around 15 years. Lifetime warranty too.

There's also a £10 e-voucher if you spend over £50 Thumbs Up

A Trap

I had the large halfords socket set for 30 years, only broke a couple of the socket screw driver bits after doing many restorations, race car and bike builds and years of servicing friends, family and my own vehicles.

Sold it when I move from Oz to Spain and the purchased another... it’s not as comprehensive, lots of missing socket sizes in each 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 sizes, they are relying on swapping between the drive sizes to give the range... no where near as handy or comprehensive plus the spanners are now ratchet ring ends, would have preferred to have the standard spanners with out the ratchet, otherwise it’s the same quality 👍
