sadly, they use a bespoke technology - whitefire or something. You have to buy dedicated ones from LR or perhaps find secondhand ones on eBay as I suspect LR will charge a small fortune for them.

I looked to see if there is part number on mine but I can't see one. I think they are fairly generic ( ie they work across most LR cars that use them) but dont take my word for it. Here's a photo of what they look like anyway.

So a quick search on eBay and on LR part websites seems to through up a variety of different part numbers (and prices) for seemingly the same thing!

they are infrared. - the emit array is above your head in the courtesy light cluster. - if you look closely you will see a row of LEDs about 2 or 3 inches long.

I know I don’t have an L405, but on my dualview, whatever the passenger is watching comes through the speakers and the headphones are only for the rear screens.

I often listen to one thing while wifey and kid watch something else with their headphones on. |
