I don't think that £100 shipping is anyway near correct, at most its about £30. I was lucky enough to find mine locally so picked them up with the trailer.

I regularly send alloys with tyres. The weight of 5 19 or 20" wheels and tyres is over 100kg.

Courier costs is one thing but if you want someone to package them properly (multiple layers of large bubble wrap and cardboard) so they dont get damaged then you are looking at £50 - £70 as it takes a while to package and most wont do it for nothing unless you are overpaying on the wheels. Most courier costs for 4 wheels is £25 but this assumes 15/ 16" wheels. They increase it for SUV wheels due to weight and size.

Noddy / Larry, the 18" wheels shown in Adam's first pic are also available as an option on the RRS - though they do look a little odd on the RRS as the tyre profile is lower. The offset is different to the 19" by about 5 mm (they stick out slightly just a bit more)

Vogue, not totally correct. The ones that were on my car are a very similar design to the RRS HSE 19" wheels, but not the same. These were specific to the FFRR only and were the de-facto 18" rim for the Vogue from 05 reg onwards.

Sorry Adam, but you are confusing the 19" RRS wheels with the 18" FFRR wheels which were also fitted to the RRS - The 18" FFRR wheels which you had on your RR were also exactly the same as offered on certain RS derivatives with 18" wheels except on a FF they were fitted with 60 profile tyres.

Here's a pic with the 18" wheels on a Sport - sorry got to click on the link

My only defense is that when I had my Sport, I was never concerned with the spec of models that came with 18" wheels as I'd bought the Supercharged with the lovely 20" wheels ! Very Happy Discovery 4 HSE

One of my Dealers needed my Supercharged allloys for a customer (Mega Urgent so i relunctantly agreed Sad ) so i had to put on another set of wheels. I thought long and hard and then thought if i put on a set of 22s on a TD6 i could feel the difference on my own car. I had a set of genuine 22" Overfinchs and thought stick them on.

Apologies for upsetting the anti 20"+ boys etc. Wink

So far my impressions are not a lot of difference between these and the 20s. Listened out for a vibration at the traffic lights (RRUK - how noticeable was it for you?) but couldnt notice anything. Overall i cant notice any difference but have only done around 50miles to date on M4 / M25 & A Roads. Everyone says that 22s are awful so i am expecting the worst. I will keep them on for another week or so and then they will be sold and another set of OEM 20s will go on.

One side effect i have noticed is that hoddies keep asking me have i got any gear & young beautiful girls ask me do i play in the premier league Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Whistle Only Joking !!!!

I am thinking of joining another forum called the Staines Massive!!!!

Welcome your views and you wont upset me as they will be going soon Thumbs Up

I like the look of them, but could never afford to buy a set and would undoubtedly ruin them offroad as I did with my RRS 20" alloys (twice Embarassed ) Discovery 4 HSE

I must say i did the school run this morning and the ride wasn't as good as my 20s. i think the A roads & Motorway gave me a false idea. i will give them a week while the jury is out.

They would be absolutely useless for offroad as the tyres are like elastic bands Laughing

I actually feel a little embarrassed with them on as my car looked classier before but maybe i am paranoid that everyone thinks i sell drugs Shocked Before any legal teams are on the sniff, they are genuine Overfinch 22s & not replicas or style etc.

RRUK, anychance of describing the vibration noise - was the car shaking or make a noise etc..?

Personally i think the wheels look ok if that is your thing and do make heads turn but not sure if it is for the right reasons.

Probally look better on a RR Sport?
