I had this on mine & it was the cork filter on the suspension compressor in the spare wheel well. It was fixed by Land Rover Assistance in about 10 minutes with a replacement filter, which has been modified by Land Rover with a hole in it to stop it happening again as it is a common fault.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out with the dealer see what they think. |

brieff faults that come up could be loose connections on the various ecu's and sensors on the range or at worse it could be a failing item. ... - .- -.

@xjsracer44- Is there another name for the "cork filter" you refered too? I am having the same issue with my suspension. I have called the dealership and they have never heard of a "cork filter". Any additional information would be apreciated. |

If you go into then boot in the spare wheel area, in the middle is a metal box containing the compressor, take the top off and at the back is the silencer, it's tapered and made of loads of little brass balls all stuck together. It's this that gets blocked and the compressor can't release air so can't adjust as it should |

From your description, the correct term would be "sintered brass filter", they are commonly used to filter dust and dirt particles out of air. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

I had similar problems with my 06 vogue, i drilled a small hole in the filter but problem kept coming up on dash even when codes had been cleared. In the end my local independant dealer found it was a n/s/f levelling valve which i changed, reset codes and has been ok since. |
