Certainly no issues yet - ie the car hasn't gone into electrical melt down.

If you can wire a plug then you can do this mod. As long as you can cope with positive and negative cables you'll be fine, life's made easy with them being Black and Red! You only need basic tools and there is no cutting or splicing of the vehicle wiring. You'll need a 10mm socket, a crimp tool and some wire cutters. This is where I ran my cables:

First issue with having a second battery today - I didnt tell the mechanic I had a second battery, so when he disconnected the main battery to change my steering column the car stayed powered up as if by magic!

i am just contemplating a second battery in my 10MY tdv8.
question is VSR why dual voltage? so it senses both ways? plus suppliers? any recommendations? i was thinking of Durite range: 12V 140amp Durite Intelligent Voltage sense Split Charge Relay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-140amp-Durit...3a99b2cdd1 plus cut off like - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DURITE-0-605-01-...35d3fcb9b1 the other way would be to get a premade kit made up and then use sections from it as fro something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251730840815 at £64 could save some effort buying extra cables, crimps and fuse holders/fuses. thoughts. Has anyone done the dual install in the boot as per this thread and still use the removable tow ball in the standard holder? |

Given the size of the tow ball vs the size of battery that can fit into that compartment, I would have thought it easier to find a new home for the tow ball...... |
