Front Wipers

Hello everyone,
Had a novel fault started the other day, as I was driving in slight rain with my front wipers on in position 2, continual slow speed, they suddenly stopped at about 1.00 o'clock position on the screen I moved control into fast and they re-started.
When I run with the wipers in slow continual the fault re-occurs after about 2 or 3 minutes but always clears with change to fast or intermittent position.
They always stop at the same point on the screen!
Any ideas please.

Its possible the contacts in your wiper switch are greased up or breaking up.

I had similar problems on our Discovery 2, cured by replacing the switch with another second hand one.
When I took the faulty switch apart I found it had a surprising amount of grease inside it & when all cleaned off it worked OK again. Paul,

Hi, are you talking about the switch on the column or the contacts on the wiper motor?
Cheers

How can the column switch stop the blades in the same spot every time it happens? could understand if it was a motor issue!
