Has anyone managed to get a module working that has been purchased from eBay? I’ve been told by a LR specialist that the module is coded to the original vehicle and can’t be changed, therefore useless. Has he got mixed up?

I put a 2nd hand module in my 2017 and programmed it no problem.

I suspect the motor/swivel is the same but I haven't inspected it that closely.

Following on for part C + D

Spoke to the dealer today and you still can't purchase them separately, the same part is used on the aftermarket westfalia towbars, I called them too and they cant sell that part either. Rolling Eyes

People have fitted them without the bracket but it means you end up with 2 less connecting bolts between the towbar and the chassis. I'm probably going to fabricate some - if anyone has one handy or happens to be lying under their range rover any time soon would you be able to let me know the thickness of them?

Hope you are well. I know it was a few years ago but did you ever get the full parts list for the 2017 L405? I am looking to get one fitted to mine.
Thanks

The full parts lists for each year are in this thread. I fitted mine a good while back and it's been working fine ever since.

A guy on here started manufacturing the brackets Landover don't sell outside of the full kit if you can't find them used.

Which bit are you stuck with?

Thanks for the reply, the list for the 2017 comes up with switches and the loom but not the module. So struggling to find the module part number. I have got a loom and the switch I think. I’ve not looked at the bracket yet.

There's no specific module for 2017 on, I believe it uses a module that is shared between the deployable side steps and towbar. Upto 2017 MY had a specific module that installed into the right hand boot area. L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division.

There seems to be loads of modules. Any idea what is the part number?

Do you have (or plan) to fit the deployable side steps?

This will get you up and running then. You might need the holder bracket, in fact I would take a nosy in your boot before buying it anyway just incase you have a module already. Wfedt is what you need on the module

The left side in the spare wheel well area. The installation instructions for the tow bar has some good diagrams

The car needs coding with the module yeah. I'm sometimes over in Edinburgh if you get stuck on that one but anyone with pathfinder can do it (Inc the dealer!)
