Check to see if the timer has been set on timed climate on the central display. It’s a possibility.

It seems odd that it's runningif you haven't used the remote and the timed climate is off. Not sure of the fuse being out will reset the FBH but it shouldn't do any harm. There's the workshop manual in the wiki that may cover your FF (2007/2010) and the FBH can be found about page 2090. That may give you an idication of how it should work. Also in the 2011/13 WM there's a good write up in

The sign to tell if it is working or not is to listen for the FBH fuel pump. If you cannot hear that pulsing the FBH is not working. 2004 4.2 SC Japan Spec

I can hear what sounds like the fan for the FBH in the near side wheel arch but it seems to turn itself off after a minute or two and there is no smoke and no heat, guess the FBH isn’t working or getting fuel?. |

If you can’t hear the fuel pump ticking then it hasn’t ignited. As I said the noise comes from the rear

It looks at ambient temperature and will enter parked ventilation mode if the ambient temperature is high (fans will run, but FBH will not ignite). If memory serves, I believe the threshold is 60F. I'm not super familiar with MY07, but on MY10-MY12, the two different LED's on the "Auto" button on the climate module will blink at 2hz to indicate the current FBH status (parked heating vs parked ventilation mode being commanded).
