Hi - my first post here so hi! I’m about to buy a 2017 (67 plate) TDV6 Autobiography. I thing I don’t see to be able to find out if the standard alarm and immobiliser are Thatcham approved. I’ve found a long list of Thatcham approved Land Rover models but the L405 is absent. I know there’s the tracker but my insurance are asking about alarm and immobiliser. I called the supplying MD who told me the insurance shouldn’t be asking! I can’t imagine for a second the full fat has any less than the other models but I want to know I’m answering properly. Realise there’s prob lots of views around what additional security is wise but I’m just after an answer on the standard fitted stuff please if anyone knows

I had exactly this conversation with the main dealer on my new to me 2017 AB last week.

Essentially, the InControl Secure is Thatcham Category 6 approved so, if your insurance wants a tracker then you have that option already built into the L405, but you need to pay the annual subscription.
