Can a stock 5.0 supercharged engine have the power increased to 565hp and if so how

Re chipping will give about +50bhp
Changing the gearing on the supercharger will give another +50bhp so you can get to +600bhp easy....

Then save up for a new gearbox, transfer box, propshafts and halfshafts as one of them will let go soon...!!!  Pete

I find the standard set up more than adequate to induce the possibility of additional points on my license

565 is the power on the SVA, and unless they have swapped the box it should be up to the job.

I suspect that al they have done is map the engine to get the 565, so in theory a decent remap from the likes of DMS or JE should get somewhere near.

That’s on a 405 Pete so don’t go getting any ideas. not sure how the 6 speed would fare.....

That said the DMS stage 1 tune of the 5.0 goes to 600hp. The stage 2 to 650. And the same can be done according to them on the 322.....

Torque wise it should be ok as their tune takes it to abut 720NM which is pretty much (700) the standard torque on the 4.4sdv8 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

The 322 has the 6 speed ZF 6HP 28

Depending on who you believe it can handle 700 to 750 nm, the 322 is about 510 bhp and 625 nm.

A basic remap will put it to 560 bhp and 700 nm so you are right on the limit...

I would be more worried about halfshafts, propshafts and the transfer box but to say that you never read much about them failing....

No time at the moment but I will be upping mine to 600 bhp and 750 nm soonish so I can be the guinea pig..!! Pete
