Direct line also wanted a tracker on my 2013 Vogue SE V8. Fortunately it already had one fitted so all I had to pay was the subscription. My quote from them with no noclaims (no claims is on the D3 which I still have) was just over £500. Lots of places wanted over £1000 and many would not insure it as I has no noclaims.

A 2016 car should have a factory tracker, my 65 plate car certainly has one, you just need to activate the subscription with Land Rover in control. Costs about £200 pa if I recall correctly. |

InControl was accepted by LV as a suitable tracker. |

Aviva is coming out better although I changed the quote to garaged now. I don't see the point in a tracker tbh, just increases the annual cost to insure. Classicline have been good in the past, will give them a buzz on Tuesday and see what they say. Normally its a daily driver on top of another policy. 2016 SDV8 4.4 VogueSE |

Relative to the cost of the car and the ease with which they can be stolen, the cost of a tracker sub is peanuts, works out at about 2 tanks of diesel per year. I’ve had them for years on both my Range Rovers and my Mini JCWs. |

Oh boy are you in for a treat. I also came from a D4, the L405 is something else, especially with the 4.4.

Its arrived, condition is really good for a 4yr old car with 20k mls. I've not found anything bodywork wise, interior is very clean apart from the one issue. Looks like its had hand controls so plastics are cut down to the pedals....back to the dealer to get that sorted. I do wonder sometimes why these aren't picked up beforehand. Other than that I'm pleased with it.

Just went around a short loop....lovely cruiser. The infosystem is pretty much the same as the D4. Dashcam in, I think I'll leave it on 22s so just a towbar to sort.

Looks nice on the 22's, wished I'd waited for a grey one. |
