2017 Audio amplifier upgrade drama

So yesterday, i finally set some time aside (in the >100 degree heat here in TX) to swap my High 12 amp to a Premium 16 amp I picked up from eBay. Starting in 17, LR switch to the NGI interface (no more MOST). Knowing this, I hoped that the amps were still swap-able as they were in the previous years. Well, no such luck. I installed the new amp, and while everything looked okay, no audio! I went back to the original amp and all was good. I guess I just put the new amp on the shelf and wait until someone comes up with a method of editing CCF files for 2017 on.

I putting this out there for 2 reasons:
1. As a heads up to anyone thinking about swapping their amp in one of these newer models.
2. Does anyone have any information/ideas on how to get a new amp going? I'm pretty sure a LR dealer would be of little to no help.

I done a lot of research on this. It’s on here somewhere. I know for sure on pre 2017 models that the amps are plug and play. Saying that there are two different amps. It was a while ago but from memory the amps are identical looking but one is only compatible with the discovery and not with the l405. The premium amp even works on cars with the most basic set up. Obviously if you going the full hog and installing the extra speakers then the ccf will have to be programmed. But I know for sure that if a premium amp is fitted in a car that’s running a high 12 for example it will even run the extra rear shelf speakers if they’re installed but not the centre speaker even if installed. That’s when thee ccf programming is needed. Of cause it may be different for the 2017 onwards.
