Just negotiated a price for a 3 year Warranty with Warranty Direct.
Its the most comprehenssive cover that they do, includes things like media, air bags, air con, no capped labour rate so can use main dealers, LR and Porsche, and (basic) break down cover.
Also includes 10 monthly interest free payments.
the only caveat - I agreed to £100-00 voluntary excess, which kept the premium down a fair bit.

Now i do know that warranty people do try to refute claims but as this is as comprehensive as I can get, it seems pretty good.

I struck what I felt was a good deal, as I did 2 cars at once, the RR is a 2016 MY Vogue SE with just 16,500 miles
The other car is a Boxster GTS whith 17k miles.

both policies are transferable if the car is sold.

I self insure. Hear way too many stories of them not paying out. Stick the cash in an ISA or savings account and then use a Tesco card to pay the bill (points etc) and then pay off the card. My turbo is currently on a 0% Sainsburys card  Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Not sure that would work for me.
The amount I paid would not be a very large slush fund especially given that Landy and Porsche repairs can be painful.

Although your way could be a good bet if you are lucky enough not to make a claim in 3 years. Like a nice little bonus.

I recently had a major issue with a warranty company. I wish I had checked the company out on Trust Pilot before I made the agreement. Now I always check the companies I buy services from before signing anything. Since then I always self insure. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Current

Agreed, warranty direct pretty good as far as I know.
I’ve used warrantywise before they were too expensive for less cover.

I’m afraid I broke with tradition and enhanced my budget to a small amount more than that.
