Hi all long time no post...does anyone have for sale a new/recon, or can anyone recommend a decent alternator to replace mine, original was playing up so changed it for a second hand one, it works but isn’t producing the correct charging voltage, it’s less than 13.5v and is (we think) throwing up all sorts of faults...ie suspension, hdc, and now trans failsafe etc and showing canbus errors, my mechanic (ex Landrover time served) thinks it could be the alternator??
So my question is...are any on good ole flea bay worth a punt?

Would it not help if you shared with us what make, model, engine, year etc you are driving

But don't forget about autodoc.co.uk they ship from Germany, but so much cheaper than in the UK and great quality parts. I got a proper Hella one brand new for less than second hand ones on ebay, or reconditioned ones.
