I believe the seat cooling is handled by peltier pump so not connected to aircon at all, they will however present a substantial electrical load. It seems from what you've said you notice that the engine is under additional load when its hot either by aircon, seat cooling or both which may make sense. Have you had the aircon gas checked recently? if it's low the compressor will work harder to cool the car, if there's too much it can present an immense load to the compressor and onwards to the engine. Ok, so the seat ventilation is separate from this. Then I leave this part out of my research for now. I have not yet checked the gas level but this also sounds quite logical. I regularly experience that it takes a while before the air is really cold. I really have to drive at least 5 minutes to get it cold in the car. When I start the car and the engine is cold and outside above 30 degrees, it takes also a while. Then it sounds plausible that the compressor has to work harder. So I'm going to see if it needs to be refilled. Need to check this first... Thanks. |
