Well I decided to take the pump out and have look at it.
My Icarsoft showed the Gallery pressure (which I assume is the pump pressure not res tank pressure) only climbing slowly and didn't get to a high pressure.
The pump look in good condition, no obvious leaks so took off Dessicator and dismantled. The dessicant looked okay but the cotton filter at the pump end showed signs of clogging. it has a metal sheet with small holes in at the pump end and these looked very black. cleaned cotton filter and replaced other way round so hole where on fresh cotton.
Put back together and replaced pump.
Started car and suspension rises quickly, Gallery pressure get to around 1400 kPa before pump stops.
Lets see how is behaves over the next few days
