Excuse my ignorance, but what is an aluminium rear floor conversion?

Classic boot floors rot out very easily, especially around the edges of the rear wheel arches. One way to fix it is to replace the steel panel with a piece of aluminium, hence no further rot issues. But you have to isolate the ali from the steel surrounding it to prevent galavanic corrosion between the 2 metals.
It's a usual and sensible fix, mine has it too.
