A recent MOT showed that my rear pads need changing and Inchcape have quoted me £467 + sensor £23.18 both plus VAT for supply and fitting, rear pads . This sounds very expensive, what does anyone suggest? An independent? I'm not brave enough to tackle it myself due to the EPB and other technical complications. |

I was under the impression that the normal pads was the park brake pads on the l405?? |

Had mine changed at a main dealer a couple of weeks ago and it was around £300 inc VAT all in. MY23 D350 HSE

Parking brake pads are the rear brake pads sir... L405 have an electric motor on the side of the caliper ![]() |

Well you live and learn. I just changed mine like any other pad, no ill effects and no hassle. letters not necessarily in the right order |

Dixy, consider yourself VERY lucky sir! There are many stories of DIY customers breaking the electric motor by forcing back the piston with a Caliper wind back tool!

Maintenance mode is required, to prevent damage when replacing the pads |

Just going back to this and the link that Stan sent me in one of the above responses, the link doesn't seem to show the fixed price servicing any more. Am I missing something? |
