Load queries....

Does anyone know if an EMPTY IBC would fit in the rear of the FF, Seats down and folded forward Smile

Also would i be able to get some planks of wood,
1" Thick
6" Wide
8' Long into the car with the pass seat all the way forwards and on lowest height and backseats down diagonally?

In new terms thats
15.2cm Wide
2.5cm Thick
2500cm Long Smile

I'm thinking i may be best folding the seats down, laying them flat out of the boot (lower tailgate down and upper tailgate down) strapping them down to the tie hooks and sticking numberplate in the back window to get the job done. Only about a 45min drive as well if that and mostly on long A road and Motorway sticking behind the lorries as usual.

The IBC I think may be too big as its
1178mm Tall
1200mm Deep
1000mm Wide FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Hi,
Did you ever get the IBC in the back? I'm looking for one also & wondering I can fit one in rather than spend another £50+ on delivery.

Rob

I don't think there is a chance of getting a 600l ICB in, never mind a 1000l one. Looking at mine and our FFRR load area it seems unlikely, even one without a cage. I am fortunate enough to have a trailer that will cope. Smile

As an aside, what are you using the IBC for? You may be able to find an alternative to one. Cheers
Richard

Thanks Richard,
I thought it would be tight if it fit at all.
Just using for rainwater storage irrigation for the garden, a water butt just isn't big enough & IBC seems best value for holding 1000L

Rob.

In the end I didn't bother and ended up using some plastic drums for the storage I needed 👍 FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

IBC in the back of a RR - absolutely no chance unless you cut it up into bits. They are more than a m3 when you add in the pallet and the cage 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

You could consider trying to find a supplier of used 1520L fruit juice tanks. Stand about 7ft tall by 3.5ft diameter, assuming you have space. Usually in black. Also if you are going to use an IBC you will need to have it on a base to give sufficient clearance to get a watering can under the outlet, unless you decide to use a booster pump to move the water. Same applies to the FJT, although you can get a sump or puddle pump into the FJT through the lid opening.

IBCs usually come with an outlet valve to which you can attatch a suitable connection. FJTs will need you to drill to fit a tank outlet and suitable valve unless you use a pump. Cheers
