Cubby Box Auxilliary Input Panel - Removal

Can anyone explain how to get the Cubby box auxiliary input panel out please?

The WM indicates that it just pulls straight up, but doesn’t show where the "clips" are. It might be that I’m just not heaving hard enough.

clips are on the front nearest the dash and there are kinda plastic hook/retainers on the back [towards the rear]

use a small thin screwdriver to depress the clips and gently pull up.. ... - .- -.
