Wen,t in search on mine this afternoon the valve is to the left of the engine looking into the engine compartment. It is high up near top of radiator, good pictures if modified valve on Baltic Blues post on one of the attachments.

My 12 plate has the modified valve fitted. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Also had the 'hesitation on cruise' rectified with a software upgrade LTB00454v2
Only had chance to use for a mile or so then had to come off the dual carriageway.
Mine was never bad, but, you could just feel more of a minute "tooing & froing" at say 65mph on cruise rather than a 'hesitation', again, hopefully all cured.

Found it, underneath the pulleys right down low. All nice & clean thanks to the Indy & no 'nut' so I'm guessing
this may have been done at the factory as mine's a late '12 plate? 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Thats all well and good BUT it does hammer the DPF, mine when given the boot raised the soot level by 2.8g in 30 seconds of clearing it. BMW i3 Electric Car
2012 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 (now gone)
2006 VW Touareg 3.0 TDi V6

DPF Management 101:
- Monitor soot level
- Boot for second turbo when grams are getting high (16-18g)
- Carry out planned regeneration (after #2)

It's not right but become normal for me.

Still love mine despite....

But probably not a car for a non-enthusiast who is also a city dweller.
