Thanks Alistair and for the other replies.
The CTEK was left on charge for about 21 hours and on returning showed the following green lights and the low battery warning was gone from the dash.
I've since used a multimeter and it's giving a reading of 12.45:
I've also now 'found' the 13 pin electric socket next to the deployable towbar under the rear bumper.
I think the CTEK MS 5.0 is a fantastic piece of kit and the two types of charging connector its supplied with as standard are probably enough for my needs (crocodile clips and permanent eye connectors).... However, I take it the idea of using the towbar electrics 13 pin socket instead of using the very effective engine bay or boot/ wheel well battery charging points is so that the car can be locked and still left on charge by means of buying one of those 13 pin adaptors and plugging that into the tow bar electrics and the CTEK?
Might also buy one of the CTEK 12 volt in car 'cig light connectors' as that seems a good idea to have...
