Rear upper suspension arms - big job?

Had the following advisory's on my TD6 (covered 110k miles) in December, and now theres a knocking/ rattle whenever you go over a bump, is the following a big job to do? And if so, what can I expect to pay (non main dealer)?

offside rear upper Suspension arm has slight play in a pin/bearing (2.4.G.2)
nearside rear upper Suspension arm has slight play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)

Thanks in advance guys

Hi
If it's a knock it will more than likely be the little link arms on the rear antiroll bar easy enough to do.

If it's a squeak when mounting the kerb etc, spray some Wurth penetrating oil onto the upper and lower rubber bushes one at a time until yo elicited the squeak. I did this on my Td6 the bushes can be knocked out with a good hammer, or look in the Rave Disc and make a bush puller. What is you tyre wear like? That will give you a good indication if the bushes have worn.

Good luck

The rear upper suspension arms on the front are quite an easy job to do.
However, it is usually wise to change the ball joint at the same time, which is a pita.
What you will pay for it to be done by indy or dealer, I have no idea.
Greg.

Have you looked in the spare tyre well to see that nothing is in there making the knock and rattle, I have a beaker bar in there and it bumps and rattles when I go over a bump. Just a thought.
