I always have & never had a problem. CTEK charger, so can't vouch for others. |

I have a Ctek lead permanently wired to the thick red battery terminal in the rear fuse box because I always drive into my garage so it is easy to just open the lower tailgate to pass the lead out in the corner without trapping it , close it up and leave to charge overnight.

Not advised as it bypasses the battery monitoring system.

Use your towing electrics (Grey one or the newer 13 pin only; won't work on a single black 7 pin) if you have them fitted.

Sorry for kinda hijacking the thread gents, 2003 TD6. Can I connect a CTEK to the positive and negative posts by the passenger side front suspension mount? There’s a positive terminal on the wall between engine bay and battery compartment and an earth post/stud on the actual suspension mount |
