This is the doodad you need to get your phone to send music to your 2010-2012 L322.

Plugs into the LR iPod socket in the arm rest, then pairs to your phone so you can get Muzak off your phone playing in your car.

Looking on eBay they are up for between £120 and £170 with a cable.

Effectively yes. You need to have the iPod input socket in the cubby box, the one with the proprietory JLR socket not a USB which I think all 2010-> have.

You can skip from the wheel controls and scroll through the list of music on your phone via the head unit screen, you just select iPod as the input. The only thing you can’t do is search your music via keypad alphabetic search on the head unit. Which is a little annoying if you have loads on your phone, but if you want something specific you can always search on your phone.

Phone stays connected to the car for calls as normal.

Just have to pair with you phone and away you go. There is a code which has to be put in but that is just 0000. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
