Could be true but i have never had a wiring issue and a main dealer has never mentioned that pre 2005 cars are a problem for this reason !!!

If it is what i think you mean, it is part of their recall but called something like "enhancement programme" when you went in for a service etc... It was upgraded free and most RRs should have had it done by now. |

I believe the front prop issue was sorted when they facelifted the vehicle (BMW lump affectted - Jag lump not affected)...
