2024 Mayor election. Unfortunately, a lot of Londoners like to be charged for things if they believe it will save the planet so we may have a few more years of this yet. 2000 P38 4.0 HSE auto - RHD - just needs a little love.

He's likely to get in again for at least 3 reasons.........

1. No credible alternative candidate Big Cry
2. Election will be at the same time as the general election and people will be giving the current government a kicking and Labour will be the beneficiery Rolling Eyes
3. When people vote they don't often separate national politics from local politics Shocked

The issue with air pollution is very real and actually worse than many people understand. If you own a RR and are bleating over paying a few ££ to drive it in London Whistle Whistle Whistle 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I remember the days when you could see no more than 100yds in Oxford Street because of the blue/grey fug from Buses & Taxis, you used to get smogs too.
I would spend a day in London & as soon as the fresh sea air was breather in I'd cough my lungs out.
Now, they have got rid of all that & tell us it's getting worse !
Believe that & you will believe in fairies at the bottom of the garden.

& how many of these deaths that they put down to air pollution were caused by people smoking & also effecting other people ?

I agree with Sam! We have become a Nation of scare mongers. Strange but not too long ago when it was a case of when all the lights will go out.
I find a conversion to Euro 6 for existing diesel engines worth consideration but the manufacturers won’t want to follow Germany.

Different type of pollution to the good old days (Actually there were bad old days) - it's smaller particles and NOX from modern engines we are dealing with and which have major health consequences in urban areas where concentrations are high. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
