The step would redeploy if it sensed an obstruction so maybe a position sensor is FUBAR or there is an obstruction preventing it reaching its "park" position? Bish.

I too have this exact same problem. I have tried lubricating with everything I can see with wd40 but not sure if it's helping. The problem was intermittent but becoming more frequent.

WD40 isn't a lubricant! I use a silicone lubricant on mine. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE |

Wd40 is in fact a lubricant and penetrating oil. But I take your point and will try some silicone lubricant, if that's worked for you. Thanks! |

Technically, WD40 seem to also do a silicone lubricant...
