Anyone ordered Jumbo bags of aggregate?

Starting to do some (long overdue) bits in the garden, have any of you ordered the Jumbo bags of aggregate from Wickes etc?

Stupid question, but how does it come?

On a pallet then delivered to roughly where they can get it by manual pallet truck? Weighing up between 2 jumbo bags, or a load of the 20-25Kg bags and lift them in manually... Big Cry

The last time I had a jumbo bag delivered it was lifted off the truck by hiab onto my drive. Its not possible to move so make sure the driver puts it somewhere sensible.
Palletised goods were delivered with a hand pump truck off a tail lift.

Hope that helps Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

As above - on a big lorry then an arm lists the bag off by handles at the top of it.

Depending where the lorry can get to, you may be able to get good placement - or you may be wheelbarrowing it.

When I had some gravel delivered to my last house, for the drive, they even held the bags a few feet above the ground and I just cut the bottom with a stanley knife - much easier to deal with a pile than trying to shovel out of the bags.

You’ll probably not get any from Wickes or B&Q at the moment due to Covid19. They say ‘not available’ on their websites.
I wanted the individual bags (I bought some from B£Q a few weeks ago but they have now taken them off sale).

I managed to get some from Jewsons yesterday though; 12 bags - paid over the phone and collected them at a prearranged time. And as I got SWMBO to call them they were only £1.99 a bag plus vat (a lot cheaper than the website price). She has her uses Wink 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

Not sure where in Cambs you are - but Mick George seem to be still delivering
