Hi guys can anyone help im looking at a jag engined l322 that has no vogue badge on rear is there a way to find out from the reg or vin plate?as always many thanks in advance

I just tried looking up my VIN & it didn't help

However, entering the reg into the Dartford Crossing site confirmed it

It is probably the seats that will tell you. My '02 HSE had everything a Vogue had apart from the Vogue seats, heated rear seats (or a sunroof) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

I just re-read all the VINDecoderz info - the derivative is buried in the middle of all the detail - twice for me - once under trim level & then further down it lists the badges.

Easier to use the reg plate checker though

I’m not sure that they still did the HSE by 2005/6 which is when the jag engined 4.4 came out? Anyone confirm?

My very first rangir was an HSE but had been optioned with all the vogue stuff so had factory tinted windows, sunroof, heated seats rear, etc. Only the different front stereo gave it away (and the seats, which were far better than the later ones imho)

They did still offer the HSE trim level on AJV8 models and the TDV8 in the early days. I think the SE had been dropped though by that time.

What is interesting in the brochure above is that it lists a HSE as having a heated steering wheel, certainly my 2002 HSE did not have a heated steering wheel I wonder if that brochure is 2004 or so? 2005 E60 M5

yep had heated steering wheel on my 2002 HSE too. I think that my car's first owner couldn't be bothered to wait in the queue for a vogue and got the HSE with upgrades. Obviously he either couldn't upgrade the stereo or didn't care.

My 04 FFRR HSE doesn't have the heated steering wheel, sunroof, heated rear seats, but the entertainment system was upgrated to include the phone but not sat nav.

My 08 FFRR TDV8 has the heated seat all round, heated steering wheel, sunroof, reversing camera, The Vogue is a much better specced car all round and am looking forward to getting it on the road. Current cars
