Wheel nuts all the same

Are Genuine Black Wheel nuts better than "cheap" ones from ebay and alike ?

Ive had several sets over the years and they all seen to rust fairly quickly.

The Genuine are a lot dearer but will they not rust ???

There's someone who makes and sells stainless steel wheel nuts.

Can't remember where I've seen that though but someone will be able to provide a link.

Cheers, Ard

They generally rust as the finish gets chipped off in use. I used a small plastic tube about 25mm across and about 60mm deep as a spray tube. Everytime I fitted the nuts I'd use satin black aerosol squirted down the tube and it recoated the nuts in fresh paint.

It repaired any chipped finish and the tube stopped any overspray getting on the wheel itself.
