My alternator failed at the start of isolation where I live. During the course of replacing it, I examined the alternator plug and had some concerns about its integrity. Rather than put everything back together and have the plug be a contributing factor in the failure, I searched for a replacement. Wow, $75.00 was not an uncommon asking price. That's just crazy! After a long online search (got nothing but time), I found a comparable plug used on VW diesel fuel system electronics. The red wire just dead ends. Cost and shipping were just over $10. That's more like it!

This plug is for a 2010 NA HSE. For those about to replace a similar alternator, it provides good peace of mind. Plus, you can practice plugging it in and unclipping it to get a feel for how it works.

The 2010 HSE with a 5.0L V8, no SC The replacement alternator is the Denso replacement for the original Jaguar tagged one (also Denso). The replacement part number is DAN1103 for LR091107. Sorry for the lack of specifics. That's somewhat ironic because I had a lot of work finding info specific to that year/engine and that's why I posted.
